Fannie Mae owned properties qualify for a special program called . Under the Fannie Mae HomePath you may purchase a home with as little as 3% down, no appraisal, and no mortgage insurance. Combine that will the 3.5% closing cost incentive and that’s quite a good loan.
Another option under this program is the Fannie Mae HomePath Renovation loan. While this loan will require an appraisal it a great option for those homes that require a little rehab to be “movein” ready. The closing cost incentive still applies to these homes.
- The offer must be accepted on or after June 14, 2011
- The loan must close on or before October 31, 2011
- The home must be owner occupied
